Schedchie is the cheapest unlimited Threads scheduler: €7.99 a month for every Threads profile you run, plus eleven other platforms, with text, image, video and carousel posts. Start free trial.
This guide is for buyers who want to schedule Threads posts without paying per profile. It covers what a Threads scheduler has to do well, what Schedchie publishes to Threads, and what seven Threads-capable schedulers cost at the two footprints most buyers arrive with: 5 accounts and 10 accounts. Every competitor figure was read on the vendor's own page on October 12, 2026.
The short answer: the best Threads scheduler in 2026
Pick Schedchie. €7.99 a month, flat. Unlimited accounts and unlimited posts. That one price covers your brand profile on Threads, a founder profile, a second brand and every client profile you add later, with the same Instagram, LinkedIn and Bluesky accounts beside them. There is no per-profile meter and no monthly post ceiling.
The rest of the Threads-capable market prices by the account, by the bundle or by the seat. At 5 accounts, Buffer costs $30 a month on monthly billing ($25 billed yearly), SocialPilot $30 ($25.50 billed yearly), Metricool €20 (€16 billed yearly) and Later $25 ($18.75 billed yearly, with 30 posts per profile per month). At 10 accounts those become $60, $42, €37 and $50. Hootsuite starts at $99 per user a month, billed annually. Vista Social starts at $99 a month. Schedchie stays at €7.99 at 5 accounts, at 10 and at 50.
Threads is one of twelve platforms on the same plan: Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, LinkedIn, Pinterest, YouTube, Threads, Bluesky, Mastodon, Telegram, Google Business Profile and X (posting to X is a €4.99 add-on per 30 posts). The plan is on the pricing page, and the Threads details are on the Threads platform page.
What a Threads scheduler has to get right
Threads looks like a simple text network. Scheduling to it is not quite that simple, and the gaps between tools show up in four places.
The official API, not reminders. A real Threads scheduler publishes through Meta's Threads API, so the post goes live at the time you set while your phone stays in your pocket. Some older tools still rely on push reminders that ask you to paste the post yourself. That is a to-do list, not a scheduler.
The 500-character limit. A Threads post holds 500 characters. A caption written for Instagram or LinkedIn often runs longer, so the scheduler has to tell you before publishing time, not after the post fails. Schedchie counts against 500 for Threads while the same post keeps its longer caption on the other networks.
Every format, not just text. Threads carries text posts, single images, videos and carousels. A tool that only sends text pushes your visual posts back into the app.
Price at your real profile count. Threads profiles multiply fast. A brand profile, a founder profile and a product profile is already 3 Threads accounts before you add Instagram, LinkedIn and the rest. Per-account pricing turns each one into a line on the bill. A flat price does not.
The Threads app also lets you schedule a post for one profile from your phone. That covers a single account and the occasional post. It does not show one calendar across Threads, Instagram and LinkedIn, it does not import a month of posts from a spreadsheet, and it does not let a second person approve what goes out. That is the job a scheduler does.
Threads scheduler prices at 5 and 10 accounts
Here is what a buyer pays at the two footprints that matter, read on each vendor's own pricing page on October 12, 2026. Headline prices for one account hide the per-account rate, so every row is priced at 5 and 10 accounts with the billing period stated.
| Scheduler | Price at 5 accounts | Price at 10 accounts | How the price scales |
|---|---|---|---|
| Schedchie | €7.99/month | €7.99/month | Flat. Unlimited accounts and unlimited posts |
| Buffer (Essentials) | $30/month, or $25 billed yearly | $60/month, or $50 billed yearly | $6 per channel per month ($5 billed yearly) |
| SocialPilot (Essentials) | $30/month, or $25.50 billed yearly | $42/month on monthly billing (7 accounts plus 3 extra at $4) | 7 accounts included; extra accounts $4 a month each |
| Metricool (Starter) | €20/month, or €16 billed yearly | €37/month, or €29 billed yearly | Priced by brands: 5, 10, then Advanced from €54 |
| Later (Starter, then Growth) | $25/month, or $18.75 billed yearly, 30 posts per profile per month | $50/month, or $37.50 billed yearly | Social sets of 8 profiles, one per network |
| Hootsuite (Standard) | $99 per user/month, billed annually | $99 per user/month, billed annually | Per seat; up to 10 accounts on Standard |
Prices verified on October 12, 2026, on each vendor's own pricing page. Metricool figures are its euro prices excluding VAT. Hootsuite publishes only annual-billed rates, so no monthly figure is quoted.
Three things stand out. First, nobody else in the group is flat. The cheapest metered option at 10 accounts is Metricool at €29 a month billed yearly, which is €348 a year against €95.88 for a year of Schedchie. Second, yearly-only quotes understate what monthly buyers pay: Buffer's $5 is the yearly rate, and the monthly rate is $6. Third, Later's Starter plan caps you at 30 posts per profile per month. A Threads profile that posts twice a day hits that cap in about two weeks.
The Later row also assumes a mix of networks. A Later social set holds one profile per network, so 5 Threads profiles need 5 sets: the Growth plan's 2 sets plus 3 extra sets at $15 each, which is $95 a month on monthly billing, or $71.25 billed yearly. Schedchie charges €7.99 for 5 Threads profiles, or 50.
For the full market, including tools that do not carry Threads, the social media scheduler pricing index lists 25 schedulers by entry price and by what 10 profiles really cost. If price decides it, the guide to the cheapest social media schedulers covers every platform, not only Threads.
The seven Threads schedulers, one by one
1. Schedchie: the cheapest unlimited Threads scheduler
Schedchie costs €7.99 a month for unlimited accounts and unlimited posts across twelve platforms, Threads included. It publishes text posts, single images, videos and carousels to Threads through the official Threads API, with a link attached to text posts when you want one. The composer counts your Threads caption against the 500-character limit while the same post keeps its longer caption on LinkedIn or Facebook.
Planning happens in one calendar across every account, with a list view beside it. For volume, CSV bulk import schedules a month of posts in one upload: a row per post with the date, the text and optional media and titles. If a row has a problem, Schedchie hands back a fix-me error file with only the rows that need attention, so you correct those and upload again. Photos and videos can also come straight from Google Drive in the composer and in bulk import.
Teams that want approvals before anything reaches Threads move to the Team plan at €24.99 a month: three invited members, account groups, approvals and client review links. The teams page has the details. Both plans start with a 14-day trial.
If you plan content with an AI assistant, Schedchie's opt-in MCP server at mcp.schedchie.com exposes 60 tools to Claude, ChatGPT and other MCP clients, including scheduling to Threads. You can ask your assistant to draft a week of Threads posts and schedule them, and they land in the same calendar. The AI page explains the setup.
2. Buffer
Buffer lists Threads profiles as a supported channel, with automatic publishing included. Its Essentials plan costs $6 per channel per month on monthly billing, or $5 billed yearly, for channels 1 to 10. That is $30 a month at 5 channels ($25 billed yearly) and $60 a month at 10 ($50 billed yearly). The Team plan, which adds approval workflows, doubles that to $12 per channel per month, so 10 channels on Team cost $120 a month on monthly billing. The free plan stops at 3 channels and 10 scheduled posts per channel.
At 10 accounts, Buffer Essentials costs $60 a month against €7.99. Our Schedchie vs Buffer page sets the two side by side.
3. SocialPilot
SocialPilot lists Threads among its supported platforms. Its Essentials plan is $30 a month on monthly billing, or $25.50 a month billed annually, for 7 social accounts and 1 user. Extra accounts cost $4 a month each, so 10 accounts on Essentials is $42 a month on monthly billing. The Standard plan is $50 a month, or $42.50 billed annually, for 15 accounts and 3 users.
Essentials has no second user, so a team of two starts at $50 a month. Schedchie's Team plan covers three invited members for €24.99. Our SocialPilot alternatives guide covers the switch.
4. Metricool
Metricool lists Threads in its connection table. It prices by brands, where a brand is a set of one profile per network. Starter is €20 a month on monthly billing for 5 brands, or €16 billed annually, and €37 a month for 10 brands, or €29 billed annually. Advanced, the plan with post approvals and client management, starts at €54 a month for 15 brands (€43 billed annually). Prices exclude VAT.
Approvals start at €54 a month on Metricool and at €24.99 on Schedchie. The Schedchie vs Metricool page has the full comparison.
5. Later
Later lists Threads among the networks it supports. Its Starter plan is $25 a month on monthly billing, or $18.75 billed yearly, for 1 social set of 8 profiles (one per network), 1 user and 30 posts per profile per month. Growth is $50 a month, or $37.50 billed yearly, for 2 sets, 2 users and 180 posts per profile. Scale is $110 a month, or $82.50 billed yearly, for 6 sets. Extra sets cost $15 a month ($11.25 billed yearly) on Growth and Scale.
The post cap is the part buyers miss. 30 posts per profile per month is one Threads post a day. Schedchie has no post cap at €7.99. See the Schedchie vs Later page for the rest.
6. Hootsuite
Hootsuite added Threads publishing in its composer, and its own guide walks through connecting a Threads profile and choosing it as a destination. The Standard plan is $99 per user a month, billed annually, for up to 10 social accounts. Professional is $199 per user a month and Advanced, the first plan with team review and approval of content, is $399 per user a month, both billed annually. A team of three on Standard pays $297 a month.
At 10 accounts, Hootsuite Standard costs $99 a month against €7.99, and approvals cost $399 per user against €24.99 for the whole team. The Schedchie vs Hootsuite page has the detail.
7. Vista Social and Publer
Vista Social shows Threads among its planning and scheduling networks. Its Professional plan is $99 a month on monthly billing, or $950 a year, for 15 profiles. Advanced is $199 a month for 30 profiles. There is no plan under $99 a month, so at 5 or 10 accounts you pay for 15. Our Vista Social alternatives guide prices the options.
Publer lists Threads text posts, images, carousels, videos and link posts. Its help centre puts Professional at $5 a month for 1 social account and Business at $10 a month for 1 account, with yearly billing 20% cheaper and every 10th account free. Above one account, the price comes from a calculator on Publer's plans page rather than a fixed figure, so we quote only the one-account start. The structure is per account, so the bill grows with each Threads profile. Our Schedchie vs Publer comparison covers the rest.
How to schedule Threads posts in Schedchie, step by step
This is the sequence from a new workspace to a scheduled Threads post.
- Start the trial. Create your account and pick the plan. The 14-day trial covers every platform.
- Connect Threads. In the dashboard, open the account group the profile should belong to and click Connect on Threads. Threads' own login screen opens; approve it with the Threads profile you want to post as. The profile appears in the group when you return.
- Connect the rest. Add the Instagram, LinkedIn, Bluesky or other accounts you post to alongside Threads. Every one is included in €7.99.
- Write once. Open the composer, select Threads and any other accounts, and write the post. Threads gets its own caption field, counted against 500 characters, so a longer LinkedIn version does not block the Threads one.
- Add media or a link. Attach one image, a video or several images for a carousel. For a text post, add a link if you want one attached.
- Pick a time. Set the date and time, or drop the post on a day in the calendar. Schedchie publishes it through the Threads API at that time.
- Go bulk when the volume grows. For a month of posts, use CSV bulk import: one row per post, Threads selected as a destination, media matched by filename. Rows with a problem come back in a fix-me error file.
What Schedchie publishes to Threads
These are the limits Schedchie applies to every Threads post, taken from Threads' own documentation.
| Post type | What Schedchie sends |
|---|---|
| Text post | Up to 500 characters, with an optional link attached |
| Image post | JPEG or PNG, up to 8 MB, 320 to 1440 pixels wide |
| Video post | MP4 or MOV, up to 5 minutes and 1 GB |
| Carousel | Several images and videos in one post, each held to the same limits |
Threads is more permissive about image shapes than Instagram: it accepts anything from very tall to very wide. Schedchie still offers square, 4:5 portrait and 1.91:1 landscape presets in the editor, because those are the shapes the feed shows well. PNG files keep their transparency on Threads instead of being flattened onto white.
Each scheduled post shows its outcome per account in the dashboard, so a Threads post and its Instagram twin are tracked separately, and you see which one went out at a glance.
Threads next to the other eleven platforms
Almost nobody posts to Threads alone. A creator posts the same idea on Threads, Instagram and Bluesky. A founder posts on Threads, LinkedIn and X. A local shop posts on Threads, Instagram, Facebook and Google Business Profile. On per-account pricing, every one of those is another line on the bill.
Take a small brand with 2 Threads profiles plus Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, TikTok, Pinterest and YouTube: 8 accounts. On October 12, 2026, that was $48 a month on Buffer Essentials with monthly billing ($40 billed yearly), $34 a month on SocialPilot Essentials (7 accounts plus 1 extra at $4), $99 per user a month on Hootsuite Standard billed annually, and $99 a month on Vista Social. On Schedchie it was €7.99.
On Schedchie, all twelve platforms sit on the same €7.99 plan: Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, LinkedIn, Pinterest, YouTube, Threads, Bluesky, Mastodon, Telegram, Google Business Profile and X (posting to X is a €4.99 add-on per 30 posts). You write a post once, trim the Threads caption to 500 characters, and send it everywhere from one calendar.
The same 5-and-10-account test runs through our other platform guides: the best Telegram schedulers, the best Mastodon schedulers and the best Bluesky schedulers. The Instagram platform page covers the network most Threads accounts post beside, and the list of schedulers with unlimited posts shows which tools cap the queue.
Who needs a Threads scheduler, and what to check before you buy
A Threads scheduler earns its keep once you post to Threads more than a few times a week, run more than one profile, or post to Threads alongside other networks. Typical buyers: creators who post daily and batch a week on Sunday, founders who run a personal and a company profile, small brands posting the same campaign to Threads and Instagram, and agencies that run Threads for clients.
Before you pay anyone, check four things.
- Price at your real account count. Count every Threads profile and every other social account you will connect, then price that number, not the one-account headline. The table above does it for 5 and 10.
- Billing period. A yearly-billed rate quoted as monthly is the most common way a price looks smaller than it is. Schedchie's €7.99 is the monthly price, billed monthly.
- Post caps. A cap of 30 posts per profile per month is one post a day. Threads rewards frequent posting, so check the cap before the price.
- Approvals and seats. If a second person signs off on posts, price the plan with approvals: $399 per user on Hootsuite Advanced, €54 on Metricool Advanced, $12 per channel on Buffer Team, €24.99 on the Schedchie Team plan.
For agencies with many client profiles, social media scheduler pricing for agencies runs the numbers at 20 accounts and up. If you are leaving a specific tool, the alternatives hub lists the switch guides.
FAQ
How do I schedule Threads posts?
Connect your Threads profile to a scheduler that uses the official Threads API, write the post, and pick a time. In Schedchie, click Connect on Threads, approve the Threads login screen, then compose the post, select Threads and set the date and time. The post publishes at that time with no reminder or phone step. For a month of posts at once, use CSV bulk import.
What is the cheapest Threads scheduler?
For more than one account, Schedchie is the cheapest Threads scheduler: €7.99 a month flat for unlimited Threads profiles, unlimited posts and eleven other platforms. On October 12, 2026, the cheapest metered rival at 10 accounts was Metricool at €29 a month billed annually (€37 on monthly billing). Buffer and Publer start lower for a single account, but both charge for every account after that.
Can I schedule images, videos and carousels to Threads?
Yes. Schedchie publishes text posts, single images, videos and carousels to Threads. Images go up as JPEG or PNG up to 8 MB, videos as MP4 or MOV up to 5 minutes, and text posts can carry a link.
Is there a Threads scheduler with unlimited accounts?
Schedchie. Its €7.99 plan covers unlimited accounts and unlimited posts, so a second, fifth or twentieth Threads profile costs nothing extra. For the full market, the pricing index shows that the other tools that leave posts uncapped still cap profiles: Radaar at 6 and Pallyy at 11.
Is Threads included in the €7.99 plan?
Yes. Threads is one of twelve platforms on the €7.99 plan, with unlimited profiles and posts. The only paid extra on the plan is X, where posting is a €4.99 add-on per 30 posts.
