Schedchie in ContinueEditor

Continue writes the posts. Schedchie publishes them.

Continue reaches Schedchie’s MCP server with a connection token in a streamable-http block and gets the posting, media and analytics tools. Schedchie is a flat-price social media scheduler for 20 platforms: Pro is €9.99 a month, with MCP included.

  • A YAML block in .continue/mcpServers with type streamable-http and our URL.
  • A connection token goes in requestOptions headers.
  • MCP tools only run in agent mode.

Setting up Continue

Add a streamable-http block with a connection token to .continue/mcpServers, switch to agent mode, and Continue can schedule posts from your editor.

  1. ContinueConfig

    Add a block file

    1. .continue/mcpServers

Create .continue/mcpServers/schedchie.yaml at the top of your workspace. A standalone block needs the name, version and schema lines.

    Config
    name: Schedchie
    version: 0.0.1
    schema: v1
    mcpServers:
      - name: Schedchie
        type: streamable-http
        url: https://mcp.schedchie.com/mcp
        requestOptions:
          headers:
            Authorization: Bearer <connection token>
  2. ContinuePrompt

    Switch to agent mode

Continue uses MCP only in agent mode. Switch to it and ask Continue to list your Schedchie accounts.

Official docs: docs.continue.dev/customize/deep-dives/mcp

Three prompts for Continue, with the tools they call

  • Read the README changes in this branch, write a LinkedIn post about them, and schedule it for Thursday at 9:00.

    list_accounts, schedule_posts
  • What is scheduled for next week, and did anything fail since Monday?

    list_posts
  • Which posts are waiting for my approval? Approve the LinkedIn one.

    list_pending_approvals, approve_post (Ultra)

More about Schedchie in Continue

Where do I get the connection token?

In the Schedchie dashboard, under AI assistants. It carries the posting, media and analytics tools, lasts 30 days, and you can revoke it there at any time.

Can I reuse the JSON from Claude Desktop or Cursor?

Continue picks up JSON MCP files copied into .continue/mcpServers/. For Schedchie the YAML block is the documented way to set type streamable-http and the header together.

Which Continue mode runs the Schedchie tools?

Agent mode only. In chat mode they are not there; switch from chat to agent and they appear.

Are there limits?

Each connection can make up to 120 tool calls a minute. On Pro it gets 300 tool calls an hour, plus 30 session opens that make no call; on Ultra four times that, 1,200 calls and 120 opens.

Is the MCP connection billed on top of the plan?

No. It is included on every plan and in the 14-day free trial. Pro is €9.99 a month, flat. Posting to X is paid in X credits, as in the web app.

14 days on your own accounts, then €9.99 a month

The assistant connection is included on every plan and in the trial.
