Schedchie in JetBrains AI AssistantEditor

JetBrains AI Assistant writes the posts. Schedchie publishes them.

JetBrains AI Assistant connects to Schedchie’s MCP server at mcp.schedchie.com/mcp and gets up to 88 tools for the accounts in your workspace. Schedchie is a flat-price social media scheduler for 20 platforms: Pro is €9.99 a month, with MCP included.

  • Settings | Tools | AI Assistant | Model Context Protocol (MCP): add Schedchie as a STDIO server.
  • mcp-remote runs the Schedchie sign-in in your browser; it needs Node.js 18 or later.
  • The same settings in IntelliJ IDEA, PyCharm and the other JetBrains IDEs.

Setting up JetBrains AI Assistant

Add Schedchie in AI Assistant’s MCP settings through the mcp-remote bridge and sign in in your browser. It then schedules posts from IntelliJ IDEA, PyCharm or any JetBrains IDE.

Requirements

Version
Node.js 18 or later for mcp-remote.
Organizations
If your organization manages AI through JetBrains IDE Services or JetBrains Central, an administrator may have blocked adding your own MCP servers.
  1. JetBrains AI AssistantOpen

    Open the MCP settings

    1. Settings
    2. Tools
    3. AI Assistant
    4. Model Context Protocol (MCP)
    5. Add

    Go to Settings | Tools | AI Assistant | Model Context Protocol (MCP) and click Add.

  2. JetBrains AI AssistantPaste

    Add Schedchie through mcp-remote

    1. New MCP Server
    2. STDIO
    3. JSON configuration
    4. Server level

    AI Assistant has no sign-in for remote MCP servers, so Schedchie runs through the mcp-remote bridge, which needs Node.js 18 or later. In New MCP Server choose STDIO, paste this JSON configuration and set Server level to global.

    Settings | Tools | AI Assistant | Model Context Protocol (MCP), JSON configuration
    {
      "mcpServers": {
        "schedchie": {
          "command": "npx",
          "args": ["-y", "mcp-remote", "https://mcp.schedchie.com/mcp", "--auth-timeout", "120"]
        }
      }
    }
  3. JetBrains AI AssistantPrompt

    Call list_accounts in AI Assistant

    Ask AI Assistant to list your Schedchie accounts. Schedchie tools also run from the / commands in the chat.

Connection details

Same MCP server, permission groups and approvals as the Schedchie web app.

Where
Settings | Tools | AI Assistant | Model Context Protocol (MCP), Add. New MCP Server has a STDIO and an HTTP option.
Config
A STDIO JSON configuration that runs npx mcp-remote with the Schedchie URL, at Server level global.
Sign-in
AI Assistant has no OAuth sign-in for remote MCP servers, so mcp-remote runs it: it registers itself with Schedchie and opens the Schedchie screen in your browser. --auth-timeout 120 gives the first sign-in two minutes.
From the terminal
Junie CLI, also from JetBrains, connects the same way with Authorize in /mcp: see /ai/junie.
Only what you tick
Connect JetBrains AI Assistant to Schedchie. Your assistant gets up to 88 tools across 20 platforms, and only the permission groups you tick at sign-in.
Video from your phone
Your assistant can hand you an upload link for a video up to 200 MB and 15 minutes, then set your own cover on Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, Pinterest and YouTube.
Approvals that hold
On Ultra, a teammate's posts wait for your approval, and your assistant can list, approve or reject them from the chat. MCP is included in the €9.99 plan, with no per-account fees.

More about Schedchie in JetBrains AI Assistant

Where do I add Schedchie in a JetBrains IDE?

Settings | Tools | AI Assistant | Model Context Protocol (MCP). Click Add, choose STDIO, paste the mcp-remote JSON configuration above, click OK and Apply, and sign in to Schedchie in your browser.

Why not the HTTP option?

AI Assistant has no OAuth sign-in for HTTP MCP servers yet, so that route stops before the sign-in. mcp-remote runs the Schedchie sign-in for it.

Does it work in PyCharm, WebStorm and the other IDEs?

Yes. AI Assistant has the same MCP settings in every JetBrains IDE.

Can I use Junie instead?

Yes. Junie CLI connects with a browser sign-in (see /ai/junie). Claude Code and Codex also run from the IDE’s terminal (see /ai/claude-code and /ai/codex).

Is the MCP connection billed on top of the plan?

No. It is included on every plan and in the 14-day free trial. Pro is €9.99 a month, flat. Posting to X is paid in X credits, as in the web app.

Are there limits?

Each connection can make up to 120 tool calls a minute. On Pro it gets 300 tool calls an hour, plus 30 session opens that make no call; on Ultra four times that, 1,200 calls and 120 opens.

Can I schedule posts to all 20 platforms from JetBrains AI Assistant?

Yes: Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, LinkedIn, Pinterest, YouTube, Threads, Bluesky, Mastodon, Telegram, Google Business Profile, Discord, Slack, WordPress, Dev.to, Hashnode, Ghost, Pixelfed, Listmonk and X (posting to X is paid in X credits, from €4.99). The connection has up to 88 tools, and approval rules hold as in the web app.

14 days on your own accounts, then €9.99 a month

The assistant connection is included on every plan and in the trial.
