Setting up Windsurf

Windsurf is now Devin Desktop, and its agent, Devin Local, supports remote MCP servers with OAuth. Add one entry to mcp_config.json and sign in in your browser.

Plans
Devin Local is on by default on every plan; on Enterprise an admin can turn it off, and an MCP allowlist under MCP & ACP can keep Schedchie out until an admin allows it.

    Add Schedchie to mcp_config.json

    Devin Desktop (formerly Windsurf) gives its agent, Devin Local, the servers in ~/.config/devin/mcp_config.json, or %APPDATA%\devin\mcp_config.json on Windows. Add this entry there, or in .devin/mcp_config.json to share it with a project.

    Open Customize in the agent sidebar, then MCPs. With Install MCPs for set to This computer, schedchie is listed; make sure its toggle is on.

    Ask Devin Local to list your Schedchie accounts. It asks for approval before each MCP tool call.

Name
Windsurf became Devin Desktop on 2 June 2026. Its local agent, Devin Local, replaced Cascade.
Config
~/.config/devin/mcp_config.json (user; %APPDATA%\devin\mcp_config.json on Windows), .devin/mcp_config.json (project, shared) and .devin/mcp_config.local.json (local override, gitignored).
Transport and sign-in
Devin Local supports stdio, Streamable HTTP and SSE, and OAuth for each. A remote server takes url plus transport http, and Devin Local asks you to authenticate the first time it uses it.
Expired sign-in
The server shows Needs authentication. Authenticate clears the stored credentials and runs the browser authorization again.
Only what you tick
Connect Windsurf to Schedchie. Your assistant gets up to 88 tools across 20 platforms, and only the permission groups you tick at sign-in.
Video from your phone
Your assistant can hand you an upload link for a video up to 200 MB and 15 minutes, then set your own cover on Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, Pinterest and YouTube.
Approvals that hold
On Ultra, a teammate's posts wait for your approval, and your assistant can list, approve or reject them from the chat. MCP is included in the €9.99 plan, with no per-account fees.

Why does Windsurf now say Devin Desktop?

Windsurf became Devin Desktop on 2 June 2026, and its agent, Devin Local, replaced Cascade. The Schedchie entry is the same either way.

Where does the config go?

~/.config/devin/mcp_config.json for this computer (%APPDATA%\devin\mcp_config.json on Windows), or .devin/mcp_config.json in the project. One server named schedchie with the url https://mcp.schedchie.com/mcp and transport http; the whole file is under the steps above.

My company uses Windsurf Enterprise. Why does Schedchie not show?

Enterprise admins manage MCP registries and an allowlist under MCP & ACP in team settings. Ask an admin to allow the Schedchie URL.

Is the MCP connection billed on top of the plan?

No. It is included on every plan and in the 14-day free trial. Pro is €9.99 a month, flat. Posting to X is paid in X credits, as in the web app.

Are there limits?

Each connection can make up to 120 tool calls a minute. On Pro it gets 300 tool calls an hour, plus 30 session opens that make no call; on Ultra four times that, 1,200 calls and 120 opens.

Can I schedule posts to all 20 platforms from Windsurf?

Yes: Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, LinkedIn, Pinterest, YouTube, Threads, Bluesky, Mastodon, Telegram, Google Business Profile, Discord, Slack, WordPress, Dev.to, Hashnode, Ghost, Pixelfed, Listmonk and X (posting to X is paid in X credits, from €4.99). The connection has up to 88 tools, and approval rules hold as in the web app.
