Schedchie in CodexTerminal

Codex writes the posts. Schedchie publishes them.

Codex connects to Schedchie’s MCP server at mcp.schedchie.com/mcp and gets up to 88 tools for the accounts in your workspace. Schedchie is a flat-price social media scheduler for 20 platforms: Pro is €9.99 a month, with MCP included.

  • The server URL goes into Codex; the sign-in happens on the Schedchie screen in your browser. No token to paste.
  • At sign-in you tick which of the six permission groups it gets. Unticked tools do not exist on that connection.
  • Schedchie publishes to the accounts in your workspace: Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, LinkedIn, Pinterest, YouTube, Threads, Bluesky, Mastodon, Telegram, Google Business Profile, Discord, Slack, WordPress, Dev.to, Hashnode, Ghost, Pixelfed, Listmonk and X. Posting to X is paid in X credits.

Setting up Codex

Two commands: add the server, sign in. Codex then turns the release notes into scheduled posts on your connected accounts.

Requirements

Plans
Codex comes with ChatGPT Plus, Pro, Business, Edu and Enterprise, with light use on Free and Go, or runs on an OpenAI API key billed at API rates.
  1. CodexCommand

    Add the server

It writes [mcp_servers.schedchie] to ~/.codex/config.toml, which the Codex CLI, the IDE extension and the ChatGPT desktop app share. OAuth is the default, so the URL is all it needs.

    Command
codex mcp add schedchie --url https://mcp.schedchie.com/mcp
  2. CodexAdd

Or add it in the IDE extension

    1. MCP servers
    2. Add server
    3. Streamable HTTP
    4. Save
    5. Restart extension
    6. Authenticate

Open the gear menu and choose MCP servers, then Add server. Name it schedchie, choose Streamable HTTP and paste the URL, save, restart the extension and select Authenticate. The ChatGPT desktop app has the same form under Settings, MCP servers.

    Server URL
    https://mcp.schedchie.com/mcp
  3. CodexPrompt

    Check it, then call list_accounts

In a codex session, /mcp lists schedchie as active. Then ask Codex for your connected Schedchie accounts.

    Command
    /mcp

Three prompts for Codex, with the tools they call

  • Turn the release notes into a LinkedIn post and a Bluesky post, and schedule both for tomorrow at 9:00.

    list_accounts, schedule_posts
  • What is scheduled for next week, and did anything fail since Monday?

    list_posts
  • Which posts are waiting for my approval? Approve the LinkedIn one.

    list_pending_approvals, approve_post (Ultra)

Approvals that hold
On Ultra, a teammate's posts wait for your approval, and your assistant can list, approve or reject them from the chat. MCP is included in the €9.99 plan, with no per-account fees.

More about Schedchie in Codex

What is the codex mcp add line for Schedchie?

codex mcp add schedchie --url https://mcp.schedchie.com/mcp, then codex mcp login schedchie to sign in.

Do I set a bearer token?

No. Leave out bearer_token_env_var and http_headers; the sign-in gives Codex its own token.

No. It is included on every plan and in the 14-day free trial. Pro is €9.99 a month, flat. Posting to X is paid in X credits, as in the web app.

Are there limits?

Each connection can make up to 120 tool calls a minute. On Pro it gets 300 tool calls an hour, plus 30 session opens that make no call; on Ultra four times that, 1,200 calls and 120 opens.

Can I schedule posts to all 20 platforms from Codex?

Yes: Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, LinkedIn, Pinterest, YouTube, Threads, Bluesky, Mastodon, Telegram, Google Business Profile, Discord, Slack, WordPress, Dev.to, Hashnode, Ghost, Pixelfed, Listmonk and X (posting to X is paid in X credits, from €4.99).
