Schedchie in CursorEditor

Cursor writes the posts. Schedchie publishes them.

Cursor connects to Schedchie’s MCP server at mcp.schedchie.com/mcp and gets up to 88 tools for the accounts in your workspace. Schedchie is a flat-price social media scheduler for 20 platforms: Pro is €9.99 a month, with MCP included.

  • The server URL goes into Cursor; the sign-in happens on the Schedchie screen in your browser. No token to paste.
  • At sign-in you tick which of the six permission groups it gets. Unticked tools do not exist on that connection.
  • Schedchie publishes to the accounts in your workspace: Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, LinkedIn, Pinterest, YouTube, Threads, Bluesky, Mastodon, Telegram, Google Business Profile, Discord, Slack, WordPress, Dev.to, Hashnode, Ghost, Pixelfed, Listmonk and X. Posting to X is paid in X credits.

Setting up Cursor

A schedchie entry in .cursor/mcp.json and a browser sign-in. Cursor’s agent can then schedule the launch posts while you ship the release.

Requirements

Teams
On Enterprise, an admin may need to approve the Schedchie URL in the MCP Allowlist (Team Settings, MCP Configuration) first.
  1. CursorConfig

    Add Schedchie to mcp.json

    1. .cursor/mcp.json

    Open .cursor/mcp.json in your project, or ~/.cursor/mcp.json for every project, and add this entry. Leave out headers and auth: Cursor registers itself with Schedchie.

    .cursor/mcp.json (this project) or ~/.cursor/mcp.json (every project)
    {
      "mcpServers": {
        "schedchie": {
          "url": "https://mcp.schedchie.com/mcp"
        }
      }
    }
  2. CursorTurn on

    Turn it on in Customize

    1. Customize

    Open Customize in the sidebar. Schedchie is listed with your MCP servers; make sure its toggle is on.

  3. CursorPrompt

    Call list_accounts in Agent chat

    In Agent chat, ask Cursor to list your Schedchie accounts. Cursor asks for approval before each MCP tool call.

Three prompts for Cursor, with the tools they call

  • Turn the release notes into a LinkedIn post and a Bluesky post, and schedule both for tomorrow at 9:00.

    list_accounts, schedule_posts
  • What is scheduled for next week, and did anything fail since Monday?

    list_posts
  • Which posts are waiting for my approval? Approve the LinkedIn one.

    list_pending_approvals, approve_post (Ultra)

Connection details

Same MCP server, permission groups and approvals as the Schedchie web app.

Config
.cursor/mcp.json in the project, or ~/.cursor/mcp.json for every project. The url key is the whole entry.
Sign-in
OAuth with PKCE. Cursor registers itself with Schedchie, so there is no client ID to set.
Approvals
Cursor asks for approval before each MCP tool call by default.
Tools
The groups you tick at sign-in, up to the full set.
Only what you tick
Connect Cursor to Schedchie. Your assistant gets up to 88 tools across 20 platforms, and only the permission groups you tick at sign-in.
Video from your phone
Your assistant can hand you an upload link for a video up to 200 MB and 15 minutes, then set your own cover on Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, Pinterest and YouTube.
Approvals that hold
On Ultra, a teammate's posts wait for your approval, and your assistant can list, approve or reject them from the chat. MCP is included in the €9.99 plan, with no per-account fees.

More about Schedchie in Cursor

What goes in .cursor/mcp.json?

One server named schedchie under mcpServers, with the url https://mcp.schedchie.com/mcp. No headers and no token. The whole file is under the steps above.

What keeps the schedchie entry from loading in Cursor?

One of three things: its toggle under Customize in the sidebar is off, the entry has a headers block, or your team’s MCP Allowlist leaves out the Schedchie URL. MCP Logs in the Output panel shows why a server did not start.

Is the MCP connection billed on top of the plan?

No. It is included on every plan and in the 14-day free trial. Pro is €9.99 a month, flat. Posting to X is paid in X credits, as in the web app.

Are there limits?

Each connection can make up to 120 tool calls a minute. On Pro it gets 300 tool calls an hour, plus 30 session opens that make no call; on Ultra four times that, 1,200 calls and 120 opens.

Can I schedule posts to all 20 platforms from Cursor?

Yes: Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, LinkedIn, Pinterest, YouTube, Threads, Bluesky, Mastodon, Telegram, Google Business Profile, Discord, Slack, WordPress, Dev.to, Hashnode, Ghost, Pixelfed, Listmonk and X (posting to X is paid in X credits, from €4.99). The connection has up to 88 tools, and approval rules hold as in the web app.

14 days on your own accounts, then €9.99 a month

The assistant connection is included on every plan and in the trial.
