Setting up n8n

Give an n8n AI Agent the Schedchie MCP server with the MCP Client Tool. The MCP OAuth2 credential registers itself, so a trigger can schedule the week’s posts.

Access
A self-hosted n8n must be served over https or opened as localhost: Schedchie accepts n8n’s OAuth Redirect URL only over https or on loopback.

Sign-in
An MCP OAuth2 API credential with Use Dynamic Client Registration on. n8n registers itself and finds the endpoints; Resource URL can stay empty. Connect my account runs the sign-in.

Approvals that hold
On Ultra, a teammate's posts wait for your approval, and your assistant can list, approve or reject them from the chat. MCP is included in the €9.99 plan, with no per-account fees.

MCP OAuth2 or Bearer Auth for an unattended workflow?

MCP OAuth2: the credential keeps its refresh token, so scheduled runs keep working and the agent gets every group you ticked. Bearer Auth with a connection token also works, with posting, media and analytics only, and needs a new token every 30 days.

My n8n shows SSE Endpoint and no transport choice.

That is version 1 of the MCP Client Tool. Update n8n until the node shows Endpoint and a Server Transport choice, then pick HTTP Streamable.

The sign-in fails on my self-hosted n8n.

Check n8n’s OAuth Redirect URL in the credential. Schedchie accepts https anywhere and http only on localhost. Serve n8n over https, or open it as localhost.

Is the MCP connection billed on top of the plan?

No. It is included on every plan and in the 14-day free trial. Pro is €9.99 a month, flat. Posting to X is paid in X credits, as in the web app.

Are there limits?

Each connection can make up to 120 tool calls a minute. On Pro it gets 300 tool calls an hour, plus 30 session opens that make no call; on Ultra four times that, 1,200 calls and 120 opens.

Can I schedule posts to all 20 platforms from n8n?

Yes: Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, LinkedIn, Pinterest, YouTube, Threads, Bluesky, Mastodon, Telegram, Google Business Profile, Discord, Slack, WordPress, Dev.to, Hashnode, Ghost, Pixelfed, Listmonk and X (posting to X is paid in X credits, from €4.99). The connection has up to 88 tools, and approval rules hold as in the web app.
