How Schedchie handles Ghost

- Schedchie talks to your own Ghost site over HTTPS with a key you create in Ghost. Your members, newsletters and theme stay where they are.
- Who can read it
- Public, members only, or paid members only, chosen per post.
- Published once, mailed once
- Schedchie records the post before it publishes it. A retry finds that post and checks it in Ghost, so a newsletter is never sent twice.
- Published at your time
- The post is created as a draft and published when it is due. Nothing waits in Ghost as a scheduled post in the meantime.
- Problems named at connect
- A wrong key, an address that is not a Ghost site, a Ghost older than 5.0, or a Ghost(Pro) plan without integrations is reported when you connect, with what to do.
- Delete from Schedchie
- A published post can be deleted on the site from Schedchie. An email that already went out stays sent.

Ghost questions
Which Ghost do I need?
Ghost 5.0 or later, self-hosted over HTTPS or on Ghost(Pro). In Ghost, go to Settings, Integrations, add a custom integration, and paste its API URL and Admin API key into Schedchie.
My Ghost(Pro) plan has no custom integrations. Can I still connect?
Yes, with your staff access token instead of an integration key. You find it in Ghost under Settings, Staff, your profile.
Can a newsletter go out twice?
No. Schedchie records the post before publishing it, and a retry checks that post in Ghost instead of making a new one. Ghost itself also mails a post only once.
Who gets the newsletter?
The members of the newsletter you pick: everyone subscribed to it, only free members, or only paid members.
Can I send an email without putting it on the site?
Yes. Pick a newsletter and choose email only. The post is mailed and stays off the site.
Does Schedchie use Ghost’s own scheduler?
No. The post stays a draft in Ghost until it is due, then Schedchie publishes it. Moving it in the calendar is all it takes to reschedule.
How many sites can I connect?
Each site is one connection. Pro (€9.99 a month) covers up to 15, Ultra (€24.99 a month) unlimited (fair use: 50 on any one platform, raised free on request), with no per-member fees from Schedchie.
Does it show views or opens?
No. Schedchie publishes the post and sends the newsletter; views, opens and members stay in Ghost.
Can I schedule Ghost with my other platforms in one place?
Yes.
