How Schedchie handles WordPress

Self-hosted or WordPress.com
A self-hosted site connects with an Application Password over HTTPS. A WordPress.com site connects on WordPress.com’s own sign-in screen, where you pick the site.
One connection per site
Each site is its own account in Schedchie, so a post can go to several blogs at once.
Hashtags become tags
The hashtags you write are added to the post as tags, without the #. They are never pasted into the article.
Categories matched by name
Schedchie matches the name to an existing category, ignoring case, and creates it when it is missing. If your user may not create categories, the post stops and names the one it could not add.
Published at your time
Schedchie sends the post at the time you set. Nothing sits on your site as a scheduled draft in the meantime.
Problems named at connect
A wrong password, a REST API blocked by a security plugin, or a user below Author is reported when you connect, not when the first post fails.
Disconnect revokes the password
Disconnecting a self-hosted site asks it to revoke the Application Password Schedchie used.

The blog post in the same batch

Write the article once and schedule it with the week’s social posts. It goes to WordPress with its title, featured image and tags, and each social account gets its own text where you want it.

WordPress posting record

Schedchie reports no WordPress figures: no views and no comments. Those stay with your site.

WordPress is included in the flat €9.99 plan: up to 15 accounts, no post limits. Ultra (€24.99) covers unlimited accounts.

WordPress questions

Which self-hosted WordPress sites connect?

Any WordPress 5.6 or later served over HTTPS. Create an Application Password under your user profile in WordPress, then enter it in Schedchie with your username and the site address.

How does a WordPress.com site connect?

On WordPress.com’s own sign-in screen, where you pick the site. Schedchie never sees your WordPress.com password.

Which WordPress role do I need?

Author or above. Schedchie has to publish posts and upload images, and it tells you when you connect if your user cannot.

Can I schedule video to WordPress?

No. Schedchie sends images only to WordPress, up to 10 a post: the first becomes the featured image and the rest go in the body.

Can it schedule pages or drafts?

No. Schedchie publishes regular posts, live at the time you set.

What happens to my hashtags?

They become tags on the post, without the #. They are never added to the article text.

How many sites can I connect?

Each site is one connection. Pro (€9.99 a month) covers up to 15, Ultra (€24.99 a month) unlimited (fair use: 50 on any one platform, raised free on request), with no per-account fees.

Does it show views or comments?

No. Schedchie publishes the post and reports no WordPress analytics or comments.

Can I schedule WordPress with my other platforms in one place?

Yes. Schedchie is one social media scheduler for 20 platforms: Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, LinkedIn, Pinterest, YouTube, Threads, Bluesky, Mastodon, Telegram, Google Business Profile, Discord, Slack, WordPress, Dev.to, Hashnode, Ghost, Pixelfed, Listmonk and X (posting to X is paid in X credits, from €4.99). Pro is €9.99 a month for up to 15 accounts on each, 300 in all, with no post limits.

Can I schedule WordPress blog posts from ChatGPT or Claude?

Yes, on every plan from €9.99, trial included. Point Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor or VS Code at mcp.schedchie.com and sign in on Schedchie's own page; your assistant can schedule, edit and retry WordPress blog posts. Claude gets up to 88 tools, ChatGPT a core set of 14 (scheduling from ChatGPT needs its Business, Enterprise or Edu plan).
