Setting up Perplexity

Research in Perplexity, then hand the result to Schedchie in the same thread. Add one remote connector with OAuth and the post is scheduled where you found the story.

Requirements

Organizations
Only administrators add organization connectors, under Organization settings, Connectors, Custom connector, and they start turned off. Members add their own only after an admin turns on Allow members to add custom connectors (off by default).

    Open Add MCP connector

    Open Plugins in the sidebar (or Customize, Connectors if Plugins is not there yet), then Add custom, Add MCP connector, and choose Remote.

    Name it and paste the URL

    Under Advanced set Authentication to OAuth and Transport to Streamable HTTP, leave Network access on Public and leave Client ID and Client Secret empty. Tick the acknowledgement and select Add.

    In an organization

    3. Custom connector

    An admin adds it under Organization settings, Connectors, Custom connector and turns it on there, since organization connectors start off. Members add their own only after an admin turns on Allow members to add custom connectors.

Sign-in
Authentication OAuth. Perplexity finds our endpoints and registers itself; Client ID and Client Secret stay empty. The sign-in starts from the connector card on the Plugins page.

Connect Perplexity to Schedchie. Your assistant gets up to 88 tools across 20 platforms, and only the permission groups you tick at sign-in.
Video from your phone
Your assistant can hand you an upload link for a video up to 200 MB and 15 minutes, then set your own cover on Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, Pinterest and YouTube.
Approvals that hold
On Ultra, a teammate's posts wait for your approval, and your assistant can list, approve or reject them from the chat. MCP is included in the €9.99 plan, with no per-account fees.

Which transport and authentication do I pick?

Under Advanced: Authentication OAuth and Transport Streamable HTTP. API Key and None will not sign you in to Schedchie.

Perplexity asks for a Client ID. What do I enter?

Nothing. Perplexity only needs one when a server has no dynamic client registration. Schedchie has it, so leave both fields empty.

I am in a Perplexity organization and see no Add custom.

Personal custom connectors are off by default in organizations. Ask an admin to turn on Allow members to add custom connectors, or to add Schedchie for the whole organization.

Is the MCP connection billed on top of the plan?

No. It is included on every plan and in the 14-day free trial. Pro is €9.99 a month, flat. Posting to X is paid in X credits, as in the web app.

Are there limits?

Each connection can make up to 120 tool calls a minute. On Pro it gets 300 tool calls an hour, plus 30 session opens that make no call; on Ultra four times that, 1,200 calls and 120 opens.

Can I schedule posts to all 20 platforms from Perplexity?

Yes: Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, LinkedIn, Pinterest, YouTube, Threads, Bluesky, Mastodon, Telegram, Google Business Profile, Discord, Slack, WordPress, Dev.to, Hashnode, Ghost, Pixelfed, Listmonk and X (posting to X is paid in X credits, from €4.99). The connection has up to 88 tools, and approval rules hold as in the web app.
