Cover card: Schedchie vs Publer 2026, the two budget schedulers compared

Publer and Schedchie are the two cheapest serious social media schedulers of 2026, and the right pick comes down to how many accounts you run. For a single social account, Publer wins on price: $5/month on its Professional plan, or $0 if its free plan's limits fit you. From roughly three accounts upward, Schedchie wins: €7.99/month flat for unlimited accounts and unlimited posts, while Publer's per-account pricing keeps climbing ($12 at 3 accounts, $20 at 5, $36 at 10). We verified every number below on Publer's official pricing and help pages in July 2026.

Full disclosure: Schedchie is our product — so check the numbers yourself; every Publer price below comes from Publer's official pricing page and help center as of July 2026. This is the comparison we wish existed when people ask us "why not just use Publer?" — because honestly, sometimes the answer is "you should."

The short verdict

  • 1 social account: Publer. $5/month, or free if you can live with 10 pending posts per account and 24-hour post history.
  • 2 accounts: Effectively a tie. Publer charges $9/month; Schedchie is €7.99. Pick on features, not price.
  • 3+ accounts: Schedchie. Publer costs $12/month at 3 accounts and grows from there; Schedchie stays €7.99 no matter how many accounts you connect.
  • Heavy X (Twitter) posting on 1–2 accounts: Publer. X is included on Publer's paid plans, while Schedchie charges a €4.99 add-on per 30 X posts.
  • Bulk automation (CSV imports, recycling, RSS): Publer. This is genuinely its strongest suit, and we won't pretend otherwise.

If you want to see how both stack up against the rest of the market, our 2026 scheduler pricing index covers 25 tools with the same verified-on-official-pages approach.

Pricing math: Publer vs Schedchie at 1, 3, 5, and 10 accounts

Publer prices per social account, and the rate drops as you add more: the first account costs $5/month on Professional, two accounts cost $4.50 each, and at three or more accounts every account costs $4/month. The Business tier follows the same shape at $10 / $8.50 / $7 per account. Publer also gives you every 10th account free. Schedchie is one flat price. Here is what that means in practice (monthly billing, verified July 2026):

AccountsPubler ProfessionalPubler BusinessSchedchie
1$5/mo$10/mo€7.99/mo
3$12/mo$21/mo€7.99/mo
5$20/mo$35/mo€7.99/mo
10$36/mo$63/mo€7.99/mo

The 10-account figures include Publer's "every 10th account free" rule (you pay for 9). Team seats are extra on Publer — $2/month per additional member on Professional, $3 on Business. Schedchie has no per-seat fees because it has no seats (more on that honestly below).

The X (Twitter) asterisk cuts both ways. Publer's free plan doesn't allow X accounts at all — X requires a paid plan. Schedchie's base plan doesn't include X either: it's a €4.99 add-on per 30 X posts, valid 30 days, which passes through the X API fees. If X is your main platform, factor that in: a Schedchie user posting daily to X pays roughly €4.99 extra per month, while a Publer Professional user gets X included in the $5/account price.

Two honest observations from that table. First, Publer supports more platforms — if you need Telegram, Mastodon, Google Business Profile, or WordPress scheduling, Publer covers them and Schedchie doesn't. Second, Publer's automation toolkit is deeper: bulk CSV imports, evergreen post recycling, RSS-to-post, and watermarking are real, verified features that Schedchie simply doesn't have. Where Schedchie pulls ahead is the absence of meters: no per-account fees, no per-seat fees, no daily platform caps, and the AI assistant isn't gated behind a higher tier.

Note the fine print on Publer's paid plans: "unlimited scheduling" runs into per-platform daily limits pulled straight from Publer's own plan-comparison data — for example, 20 TikTok videos per day and 10 YouTube videos per day on Professional. Most solo users will never hit those. High-volume multi-brand posters might.

Publer's free plan: genuinely good, with one big catch

Publer has one of the better free plans left in 2026 — a shrinking club, as we found in our free-plan census: only 8 of 25 schedulers we checked still offer a real free plan. Publer's gives you 3 social accounts, 10 pending scheduled posts per account (30 total), and 25 saved drafts. No X accounts on free — X needs a paid plan.

The big catch: published posts vanish from your history after 24 hours. That's not a typo. A day after a post goes out, it disappears from your Publer dashboard. In practice this means no reviewing what you published last week, no reusing old content from within the tool, no performance tracking over time, and no paper trail if a client asks what went out. For a set-and-forget personal account it may not matter. For anything resembling brand management, it turns the free plan into what it's designed to be: a demo that works until you depend on it. Publer's paid plans fix this with what it calls eternal post history.

The 10-pending-posts-per-account cap bites too: if you schedule a week ahead at two posts a day, you're already over it on one account.

Choose Publer if...

  • You manage 1–2 social accounts and want the lowest possible price — $5–$9/month beats €7.99, and the free plan beats everything if its limits fit.
  • X (Twitter) is a core platform for you. Publer includes X on paid plans; Schedchie charges €4.99 per 30 X posts.
  • You live on bulk workflows: importing hundreds of posts from CSV, recycling evergreen content, or auto-posting from RSS feeds. Publer is the best budget tool for this, full stop.
  • You need Telegram, Mastodon, Google Business Profile, or WordPress scheduling.
  • You need client approval workflows on a budget — Publer's $2–$3/month members are far cheaper than agency tools.

Choose Schedchie if...

  • You manage 3 or more accounts. At 5 accounts you save $12+/month vs Publer Professional; at 10, you save $28+/month — every month, forever.
  • You want zero meters: unlimited accounts, unlimited posts, no daily platform caps, no per-seat charges, and AI captions/hashtags included in the base price rather than reserved for a $10/account tier.
  • You'd rather have one flat, predictable line item than a calculator. Publer's price changes every time your account list does.
  • Your platforms are the mainstream eight — Instagram (feed, stories, reels, carousels), TikTok, Facebook pages and groups, LinkedIn profiles and company pages, Pinterest, YouTube, Threads, Bluesky — plus first-comment scheduling on Instagram and posting-time suggestions.
  • You want a 14-day trial before paying (Publer's Professional trial is 7 days).

Where Schedchie honestly falls short

Being the flat-price option doesn't make Schedchie better at everything, and three gaps matter in this comparison. There are no team or approval workflows yet — it's on the roadmap, and a shared login works fine for small teams with no per-seat fees, but agencies that need client sign-off should look at Publer's Business tier or read our top-10 ranking for more options. Analytics are essential-level — enough to see what's working, not enterprise-depth reporting. And X publishing is a paid add-on (€4.99 per 30 posts, covering X's API fees) rather than bundled. We also don't do bulk CSV imports, post recycling, or RSS automation — if those are your workflow, Publer is the better tool today. We keep a candid list of limitations, alongside real user quotes, on our reviews page.

FAQ: Publer vs Schedchie

Is Publer free?

Publer has a real free plan: 3 social accounts, 10 pending scheduled posts per account, and 25 saved drafts. The two big limits are that X (Twitter) accounts aren't allowed on free, and published posts disappear from your history after 24 hours. Paid plans start at $5/month for 1 account (verified on Publer's official pages, July 2026).

How much does Publer cost for 5 accounts?

$20/month on the Professional plan with monthly billing — at 3 or more accounts, Publer Professional charges $4 per account per month. The Business tier costs $35/month for 5 accounts ($7 per account). Extra team members cost $2–$3/month each on top.

Which is cheaper, Publer or Schedchie?

Publer is cheaper for 1 account ($5/month vs Schedchie's €7.99). At 2 accounts they're roughly even ($9 vs €7.99). From 3 accounts up, Schedchie is cheaper: it stays €7.99/month flat with unlimited accounts and posts, while Publer costs $12 at 3 accounts, $20 at 5, and $36 at 10.

Does Publer support X (Twitter)?

Yes, on paid plans — X scheduling, threads, and analytics are included from the $5/month Professional tier up. X accounts cannot be connected on Publer's free plan due to X API costs. Schedchie handles X differently: it's a €4.99 add-on per 30 posts, valid 30 days.

Does Publer delete your posts after 24 hours?

On the free plan, yes — published posts vanish from your post history 24 hours after publishing. Your posts stay live on the social networks themselves; you just lose the record inside Publer. Paid plans include full (Publer calls it "eternal") post history.

What are the cheapest social media schedulers in 2026?

For one account: Publer at $5/month (or free within limits). For multiple accounts, the only two flat unlimited options in our 25-tool dataset are Schedchie at €7.99/month and Radaar Standard at $9.99/month — and Schedchie is the cheaper of the two. Everything else meters accounts or posts: Buffer runs $5/channel, Sendible $9 for 6 profiles, Pallyy $15. Full breakdown in our pricing index.

Try the math on your own account list

Both tools are honest value at this end of the market — that's why we compared them. If you run 1–2 accounts or need bulk automation, try Publer. If you run 3 or more and want one flat price with no meters, Schedchie is €7.99/month with a 14-day free trial — no card tricks, it's simply €7.99/month after the trial if you decide to stay. Count your accounts, do the multiplication, and pick the cheaper column.
