Sked Social alternatives start at €7.99 a month flat with Schedchie: unlimited accounts and posts on ten platforms. Sked's cheapest plan is US$290 a year for one social set. Prices verified 8 September 2026.

Updated September 8, 2026: Sked Social's pricing page re-read today, in the annual column its page shows by default (USD, plus GST); every other tool below re-read on its own pricing page the same day. The July figures held, and Sked now lists a third tier, Accelerate. Start the free 14-day trial and connect every account at once.

Sked's numbers first (source, read 8 September 2026). Basic is US$24 a month billed as US$290 a year for one user and one social set, meaning one account per platform. Grow, the plan Sked recommends, is US$58 a month billed as US$690 a year for three users and 6 profiles, with extra profiles at US$80 a year each. Accelerate is US$166 a month billed as US$1,990 a year for six users and 10 profiles, extra profiles US$100 a year and extra users US$150 a year. Custom starts at US$249 a month. On Basic and Grow, internal approvals cost another US$500 a year and the external client-review portal US$1,000 a year; Accelerate bundles both. There is no free plan; the trial is 14 days.

What a real footprint costs

Entry prices hide the bill. Nobody runs a scheduler for one account, so this table prices two realistic footprints, 5 and 10 connected accounts, on each tool's cheapest plan that actually covers the count.

All figures read from each vendor's own pricing page on 8 September 2026; currency exactly as displayed, no conversion. Account structures differ: Sked, Later and Pallyy sell social sets (one account per platform), Metricool sells brands, Buffer bills per channel, Publer per account. Sked's page shows annual billing by default, so its row is the annual rate; Publer's per-account formula is from its help centre. Prices move; if one is wrong now, tell us and we will fix it.

Is Sked Social too expensive in 2026?

For a solo Instagram manager, Sked Basic is US$290 a year for one account per platform. Add a second Instagram account and Basic no longer fits; the next stop is Grow at US$690 a year. A three-person team that wants approvals pays US$690 plus US$500, US$1,190 a year, and US$2,190 with the client-review portal, or takes Accelerate at US$1,990 a year with both bundled. None of those figures includes GST, which Sked adds on top.

The same three people on Schedchie pay €24.99 a month, €299.88 a year, on the Team plan: approvals, client review links that need no login and no seat, and three invited members who pay nothing. A solo user pays €7.99 a month, €95.88 a year, and connects as many accounts as the business has. That is the gap: Sked charges roughly three times more at one seat, four times more at three seats with approvals, and seven times more once the client portal is added.

Sked Social's caps: one social set, then US$80 a year per profile

Sked meters profiles. Basic holds one social set, so the second Instagram account, the second Facebook Page or the second Pinterest profile forces Grow. Grow includes 6 profiles and then charges US$80 a year for each one after that; Accelerate includes 10 and charges US$100 a year per extra profile plus US$150 a year per extra user. The eleventh profile on Accelerate costs more than a whole year of Schedchie Pro.

Schedchie meters nothing. €7.99 a month covers unlimited connected accounts, unlimited scheduled posts and unlimited client groups, so the number that grows your client list stops growing your bill. Schedchie is the cheapest unlimited social media scheduler in this comparison and the only one that leaves both accounts and posts uncapped; the closest tools still cap profiles (Radaar at 6, Pallyy at 11) even on their unlimited-post plans. Posting to X (Twitter) is a separate €4.99 add-on per 30 posts.

Apps like Sked Social for Instagram-first teams

Sked buyers are usually Instagram-first: a visual grid, Reels, Stories, carousels, a client or two. Three things to check before you switch.

  • What the price meters. Later and Pallyy sell social sets like Sked does, Metricool sells brands, Buffer and Publer bill per channel or account. Only Schedchie's price stays at €7.99 whatever you connect.

  • Which cap you hit first. Later Starter stops at 30 posts per profile a month, Metricool's free plan at 20 posts, SocialBee at 1,000 posts per category. Schedchie has no post cap on any plan.

  • What Instagram itself gets. On Schedchie, Instagram scheduling covers feed posts, Reels with a custom cover or a chosen frame, music on Reels from Instagram's own library, Stories and carousels, from the same composer as Facebook, TikTok, LinkedIn, Pinterest, YouTube, Threads, Bluesky, Mastodon and Telegram. The per-tool math for the rest of the table lives in the Later, Buffer, Metricool and Publer breakdowns.

Approvals are the other line item. Sked prices internal approvals at US$500 a year and its client review portal at US$1,000 a year on Basic and Grow. Schedchie's Team plan at €24.99 a month includes post approvals, client review links and three invited members. Agencies running more clients than that can price the whole roster in the agency pricing guide.

Moving over

Reconnecting accounts is one OAuth consent screen per account, minutes apiece. Rebuilding the queue is a spreadsheet job: Schedchie's CSV import takes datetime, text, media and title columns, loads a month of posts in one pass and hands back a fix-me file for any row it could not schedule. Budget an afternoon end to end.
