Getting started: connect, compose, schedule, verify
The first four steps in Schedchie: connect an account through the platform, write one post for all of them, put it on the calendar, and check what went out.
Four steps take an empty account to a published post: make a Group, connect accounts into it, write the post once, and schedule it. The fifth step is reading the result, which is where most of the value of a scheduler actually sits.
1. Make a Group
A Group is one workspace: one client, one brand, one calendar. Connected accounts live inside a Group, and posts are composed against the accounts in it. Groups are unlimited on every paid plan, so there is no reason to crowd two clients into one.
Go to Dashboard → Account groups and create one. If you only run your own accounts, a single Group is the whole setup.
2. Connect accounts
Inside the Group, pick a platform tile. That sends you to the platform's own consent screen — Instagram's, LinkedIn's, TikTok's — where you approve the permissions and come back. Nine platforms connect this way:
- Instagram, Facebook Pages, Threads
- TikTok, YouTube
- LinkedIn, Pinterest, Bluesky
- X (Twitter), which needs the €4.99 add-on before it can be connected
No password ever changes hands
Connect as many accounts as you want — the count is not metered, and it is not what you pay for. Full details on how connections behave over time are in connecting and reconnecting accounts.
3. Write one post for all of them
The composer starts with one block of text and the media you attach. Pick the accounts it goes to, and each platform gets a tab where you can override what it needs:
- Different text or hashtags per platform, where 280 characters and 2,200 characters want different copy.
- The post type: a Reel, a feed post, a carousel or a Story on Instagram; a poll or a document on LinkedIn. See the platform limits reference for what each one takes.
- Platform settings that only exist in one place — Pinterest board, TikTok privacy, YouTube category and title.
- Alt text on the platforms that accept it, and a custom video cover on the ones that allow it.
Media uploads in the background over a resumable connection, so you can keep editing while a video moves. The ceiling is 200 MB and 15 minutes per video, everywhere.
Presets and notes
Settings you retype every time — a YouTube category, a Pinterest board, a privacy level — can be saved as a preset and applied in one click. Ideas that are not posts yet live in Notes, as notes, ideas, drafts or reminders.
4. Put it on the calendar
Give the post a date and time and it is queued. The calendar view shows the month; the list view shows the same queue as rows you can filter by status. Both let you open a post and edit it — text, media, accounts, time — right up until it publishes.
A post that should repeat can be set to recur daily, weekly or monthly. Each occurrence clones the next one after a fully successful publish, so a recurring slot does not multiply while something is broken.
5. Check what went out
This is the step worth learning. Open a published post and you get the result per account, not one summary status:
Success— every account took it.Partial— some accounts published and some did not. The post is live where it worked.Failed— no account took it.Disconnected— an account left the post while it was queued; reconnect it and the post comes back.
Each account in the post carries its own tick or cross, and a What happened card lists the reason for anything that failed. If a post does not fully go out, an email tells you which accounts missed and links straight to it.
The full walkthrough — what each error means and how retry behaves — is in why a post failed.
Where to go next
- Moving a queue from another tool: bulk import from CSV.
- Working with other people or with clients: team members and approvals.
- Driving all of it from ChatGPT or Claude: connect an AI assistant.
- What the trial covers and what happens after: plans, trial and cancellation.
