Yes, you can post videos from ChatGPT or Claude. Connect Schedchie, send the video, say when, and it posts Reels, TikToks, Stories and carousels for you. €7.99 a month. Start free trial.

Platform limits checked October 29, 2026.

Most AI scheduler integrations stop at text. Your assistant writes a caption, and then you still open an app, find the video, upload it and pick a time. Schedchie's connector for ChatGPT and Claude handles the part that matters on Instagram and TikTok: the photo or the video itself. You hand the file to your assistant in the chat, tell it where and when, and the post goes out on your real accounts.

This guide covers what you can post, how the file gets from your phone or laptop into the post, what each platform allows, and how to connect it in about two minutes.

Post videos from ChatGPT or Claude: what it looks like

You write one message, the way you would to a colleague:

"Schedule this reel to Instagram and TikTok tomorrow at 6 pm. Caption: Behind the scenes of Friday's shoot."

Your assistant finds your connected accounts, takes the video, asks the one thing TikTok requires (who should see it), and schedules the post. One message, one video, two platforms. Tomorrow at 6 pm the Reel is on Instagram and the video is on TikTok.

It works the same for photos, carousels and Stories, and for any mix of the platforms you connected. Schedchie publishes to twelve: Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, LinkedIn, Pinterest, YouTube, Threads, Bluesky, Mastodon, Telegram, Google Business Profile and X. Posting to X is a €4.99 add-on per 30 posts; the rest is on one price: €7.99 a month, flat: unlimited accounts and unlimited posts.

What you can post from the chat

Media is the point, so here is the list in plain terms:

  • Instagram Reels. Send one video and it posts as a Reel.
  • Instagram Stories. Ask for a Story and send one photo or one video.
  • Carousels. Up to 10 photos or clips on Instagram, Threads and Facebook, up to 9 images on LinkedIn.
  • TikTok videos and photo posts. One video, or a photo post of up to 35 images.
  • Facebook videos, Reels and Stories on your Pages.
  • LinkedIn images and video on your profile or Page.
  • Threads posts with photos, a video, or text alone.

The same file can go to several platforms in one request. You do not upload it once per network.

How your video gets into the post

Chat apps were not built to carry big video files. That is the reason most connectors skip media, and it is the problem Schedchie solves. There are three ways, and your assistant picks the right one for you:

  • Small images go straight in the chat. Drop a photo into the conversation and say where it goes.
  • A link works for anything online. Paste a public link or a Google Drive link shared as "Anyone with the link", and Schedchie fetches the file itself.
  • A one-tap upload link handles big videos. Your assistant gives you a link; open it on your phone, pick the video, and tell the assistant you are done.

The upload link is the one that makes video from a phone easy. You do not sign in on it, it is tied to that one upload, and it stays valid for 24 hours. Some apps show a file picker right in the chat instead, which does the same job. Your assistant waits until the file has actually arrived before it schedules anything, so you never get a post that is missing its video.

Each file can be up to about 200 MB, and a video can run up to 15 minutes. Platforms set their own shorter limits on some formats, listed in the table below.

ChatGPT post to Instagram and TikTok: the one difference from Claude

ChatGPT and Claude both connect to the same Schedchie account and post to the same platforms. The difference is how big files arrive.

In Claude (claude.ai, Claude Desktop, Claude Code), and in Cursor and VS Code, you get all three routes, including the upload link for a video that only lives on your phone.

In ChatGPT you send photos straight in the chat and videos as a link. The simplest habit: save the video to Google Drive, share it as "Anyone with the link", and paste that link with your request. ChatGPT never has to hold the file; Schedchie downloads it directly.

Either way, a ChatGPT post to Instagram or TikTok ends up the same as one from Claude: scheduled on your real account at the time you asked for.

Claude schedule Instagram reel: a full example

Here is the whole flow for a 45-second vertical video sitting on your phone, scheduled from Claude Desktop.

  1. You ask. "Schedule this reel to Instagram and TikTok tomorrow at 6 pm," plus your caption.
  2. Claude gives you a link. The video is too big for the chat, so Claude sends an upload link and says the video is not uploaded yet.
  3. You upload from your phone. Open the link, tap to choose the video, wait for the bar to fill. Tell Claude it is done.
  4. Claude checks it arrived. Only then does it have a video to attach.
  5. Claude asks about TikTok. TikTok needs a visibility on every post (everyone, followers, mutual friends or only you), and Schedchie never picks one for you.
  6. Claude schedules it. One post, both accounts, tomorrow at 6 pm. The video becomes a Reel on Instagram and a video on TikTok.
  7. You can check later. Ask "did it go out?" and Claude reports each account separately.

If something does not fit, your assistant tells you in plain words: a video that is too big or longer than 15 minutes is refused before it can go out, and if a platform turns a file down at publish time (a 70-second clip asked for as an Instagram Story, say), you hear which account missed and why, and it can retry just that one.

What each platform allows

Every network has its own rules for video length. The limit that applies is the shorter of the platform's own and Schedchie's 15 minutes. You can read more on each platform's page: Instagram, TikTok, Threads, Facebook and LinkedIn.

What you can post from ChatGPT or Claude through Schedchie, and the video length limit per platform, checked October 29, 2026
PlatformWhat you can postVideo length limit
InstagramPhotos, carousels of up to 10, Reels, Stories. Every post needs a photo or videoReels: 15 min. Stories: 60 s
TikTokOne video, or a photo post of up to 35 images. Every post needs media10 min, or less if TikTok sets a lower limit for your account
ThreadsText, photos, one video, or up to 10 files5 min
FacebookPhotos, up to 10 photos in one post, videos, Reels, StoriesVideos: 15 min. Reels: 90 s. Stories: 60 s
LinkedInUp to 9 images, or one video (not both in one post)15 min

Limits checked against the code on October 29, 2026. Files up to about 200 MB on every platform (Instagram Story videos: 100 MB).

Two rows are worth a second look. Threads stops at 5 minutes, so a long clip that works on Instagram and LinkedIn needs a shorter cut there. And TikTok gives each account its own maximum length, which is 3 minutes on TikTok's base tier; Schedchie checks it with TikTok before publishing.

How to post a video from ChatGPT, step by step

If you came here to post video from ChatGPT, this is the shortest path:

  1. Save the video to Google Drive.
  2. Open Share, set General access to "Anyone with the link", and copy the file's link.
  3. In ChatGPT, pick Schedchie and write the request: platforms, time, caption, and the link.
  4. Answer the TikTok visibility question if TikTok is on the list.

That is it. For photos, skip the first two steps and drop them into the chat.

Connect ChatGPT or Claude in two minutes

Every app follows the same three steps: copy the Schedchie URL, add it, sign in.

Claude

In claude.ai or Claude Desktop, go to Customize, then Connectors. Press +, choose Add custom connector, and paste the URL. Sign in to Schedchie on the screen that opens, tick what the assistant may do, and it is ready in your chats. On Claude Team and Enterprise, an owner adds it first.

ChatGPT

Turn on Developer mode under Settings, Security and login. Open Plugins, press +, name it Schedchie, paste the URL, keep OAuth, and press Create. Sign in on the Schedchie screen and pick Schedchie in a chat. Adding custom servers depends on your ChatGPT plan and workspace settings.

You sign in yourself, so the assistant never sees your password, and posts that need a teammate's approval still wait for it. The URL and the steps for every app are on the Schedchie AI connector page.

What it costs

The connector is included at no extra cost on every plan and during the 14-day free trial. Pro is €7.99 a month, flat: unlimited accounts and unlimited posts on all twelve platforms, images and video included. Ultra is €24.99 a month and adds three teammates, approvals and client connect links, and gives the assistant four times the hourly room for big batches. X posting is the €4.99 add-on on either plan. Cancel anytime, no questions asked. Details are on the Schedchie pricing page.

Schedchie has no AI of its own in the dashboard, and it does not need one: you bring the assistant you already use, and it does the writing. Leave it disconnected and the dashboard works exactly the same. To see how other schedulers' connectors compare, read social media MCP servers compared.

FAQ

Can ChatGPT post to TikTok?

Yes, once Schedchie is connected. TikTok needs a photo or video on every post, so send photos straight in the chat or a video as a Google Drive or public link. ChatGPT asks who should see the post and schedules it. So if you are wondering "can ChatGPT post to TikTok", the answer is yes, videos and photo posts both.

Can Claude post to Instagram?

Yes: photos, carousels, Reels and Stories. For a video on your phone, Claude gives you an upload link; open it, pick the file, and Claude schedules the post. That is the whole "Claude schedule Instagram reel" flow, with no public hosting needed.

How do I post a video from ChatGPT?

Put the video in Google Drive, share it as "Anyone with the link", and paste the link into ChatGPT with the platforms and the time. Schedchie downloads it and schedules the post. Videos can be up to about 200 MB and 15 minutes, less where a platform is stricter.

Can ChatGPT upload images to social media?

Yes. Drop the photo into the chat and say where it goes: Instagram, Facebook, Threads, LinkedIn, TikTok photo posts, Pinterest and the rest. Larger images can come as a link.

How does MCP upload video to social media?

MCP is the open standard ChatGPT and Claude use to connect to other apps. People searching "MCP upload video social media" usually hit the same wall: the chat cannot carry a big file. Schedchie gets around it with a link the server fetches or an upload link you open on your phone, so the video never has to squeeze through the chat.

Do I need a paid ChatGPT or Claude plan?

Every Claude plan can add a custom connector, and the free plan allows one. ChatGPT custom connectors depend on your plan and workspace settings. On the Schedchie side, the connector works on every plan and in the free trial.

Try it: connect Claude or ChatGPT, send a Reel, say when, and it posts to Instagram, TikTok, Threads, Facebook and LinkedIn for €7.99 a month flat. Start free trial.
